For the past ten years several thousand people gather in the Mojave desert to immerse themselves in a Mad Max inspired post apocalyptic world of their own making. More Westworld than Burning Man, they work year round on custom cars, hand made suites of armor, weapons, and elaborate camps sites for a five day festival celebrating the end of the world and the birth of this new one.

In keeping with the full immersion of the event, these images are shot with either discontinued direct positive or graded darkroom paper. The distressed look in some of the images are a result of the developing and bleaching processes.
